Best battery practices for the smartphone.

Rumors are going that we need to charge the smartphone until it gets 100% but it’s not for the new smartphone batteries which are having li-ion.

Old mobile phone batteries.

Old phones had a battery with a memory so we need to charge those old batteries to 100% to get used from the whole battery if not it will only work the percentage you charge regularly. For example, if we charge old phone batteries to 80% every time then the battery will not get full 100% capacity. The battery thinks if it gets 80% it’s fully charged. Also when it comes to old phone batteries if we charge the phone battery before it gets 0%, let’s say if we charge the battery regularly when it reaches 50% then the battery

memorizes its last health is 50%. So what will happen is mobile will get switched off when it reached 50% battery percentage. This will only affect old mobile batteries, not new smartphone batteries. (li-ion)

Best practices to maintain good battery life

1. Always keep the phone battery percentage between 50% to 80% if it is possible.

2. Avoid full charge 100%.

3. Don’t use the phone while it’s in charge. Turn on flight mode if it is possible.

4. Don’t use the phone until the battery fully gets drained (it means till it reaches 0%) it will affect the battery life cycle.

5. Always put the phone to charge when it reaches 20%.

6. Fast charging may not affect battery life.

7. Overheat may affect battery life. Using the phone while charging can cause overheating.

These are the best practices that you can do to keep your battery in a good health.
